The Lincoln Deanery Eucharistic Procession, starting from St Peter and St Paul’s Church, took place on Sunday 8 July. Following Adoration in the church ministers and members of the congregations of Our Lady of Lincoln and St Hugh’s churches joined in processing around the church and into the grounds of St Peter and St Paul’s School.
Deacons from Our Lady’s and St Hugh’s gave the Gospel readings relating Eucharistic Adoration to the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus as silent worship and Adoration took place.
After Benediction back in the church we all enjoyed tea, copious cold drinks – it was blisteringly hot – and cakes in the church hall. Father Eddy shared his birthday cake with us which was delicious, supplemented by doughnuts and chocolate rolls.
A wonderful celebration of the Eucharist!
