A massive thank you to all who organised, ran or attended the International Meal on Sunday.
After a week of sad news, the previously planned meal was the perfect opportunity to bring all our people together and celebrate our unity as a Church.
People brought along food from their countries of origin and we were blessed to sample a huge range of dishes from Malawi, Nigeria, Poland, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Scotland, Ireland, Gibraltar and England.
After a time of worry over whether people would attend, and some fervent prayers that all would be well, the organisers were overwhelmed by the astonishing response – over 100 attendees sat down to eat after Grace said in a variety of languages. We were joined by Fr. Eddy, Fr. Patrick and Father John (Sundays visiting Missionary Priest). Thank you to the Parish Council!
